Replace Rural Commuter Service with Demand Response Service

The HOP will be replacing Rural Commuter service with an improved Demand Response service that allows for scheduling trips from county to county. County to county trips will require a 24-hour advance booking. This will allow a single seat ride into the Urban system. Transfers may be required in the Urban System.

Learn More About Demand Response >

Removal of $6 Rural Commuter Service Fare

The HOP will be removing the $6 Rural Regional Commuter fare due to the discontinuation of the Rural Regional Commuter service.

New $4 Fare Between Lampasas and Copperas Cove

The HOP will be implementing Demand Response fares between Lampasas and Copperas Cove. This includes the same discounts that are available in the microtransit service.

Establish Discounted Fares for Demand Response Service

The HOP will be establishing discounted fares for Demand Response services.

Reduced Frequency on Urban Commuter Service

The HOP will reduce the number of vehicles that operate on the Urban Regional Commuter service. This change will require an adjustment to the time tables, but will result in minimal impact to wait times. All Mobility Hub locations and service hours will remain the same.

SERVICE ALERTS

We understand that many of our passengers rely on The HOP to get to work, school, and medical appointments. However, sometimes unsafe driving conditions prohibit The HOP from operating. While it is important that our passengers are able to travel to their destinations, HCTD values safety above all else.

Visit The HOP's service announcement link provided by KWTX in Waco, for real-time service delays.

SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

COURTESY UBER SERVICE

As a part of The HOP's Microtransit Service, we offer courtesy Ubers at no additional cost to the rider when the service is busy. Riders must first agree to a Fleet Agreement in order to receive this courtesy service and once they do so, it is automatic and requires no further action from the rider to receive.

As a courtesy service, this means riders are unable to call and specifically request an Uber trip. If a rider would prefer an Uber vehicle rather than a HOP vehicle they can do so in the Uber app directly. Trips directly booked in the Uber app are not a part of The HOP Microtransit Service and as such are subject to Uber pricing.

MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION

With The HOP's Microtransit Services, scheduling a ride is as simple as entering your start address and your end address. If these addresses are in different cities, the app will direct you tot he nearest Regional Commuter Hub where you will transfer. Once you arrive in the new city, wait at the Mobility Hub for your next Microtransit vehicle to pick you up.

IDENTIFICATION CARDS & FORT CAVAZOS ACCESS

All riders are required to have their access cards (ID cards) when riding the Cavazos Connector. During your trip you may exit Fort Cavazos to pick up other passengers. Your access card (ID card) will be needed for re-entry.
